Westward Ho!!!

Well...last Tuesday we took off on our annual trek to Montana to visit my dad and my nephew, Daniel. As you can see, along the way we started the usual bug collection! The bumper and windshield of the van would get MUCH worse than that photo. But that was just the North Dakota portion!
We made a stop in Theodore Roosevelt National Park and showed the kids the Badlands. They are quite cool! And a very nice thing to see after driving across the flat nothingness for hours on end.

Montana...it's one of the places I would like to go and fly fish. I was even talking to a buddy about planning a trip there some year. First I will have to convince Ann Marie, my wife, that it's a good idea! All my attempts at converting her to a fisherwoman have failed so far...
As for the bugs...LOL...I know exactly what you experience! Take a ride into Northern Ontario some time in late July. Take alot of wiper fluid OR a hungry appetite. LOOK! A goo filled one...CRRRRUNCH!

Oh...you should go!! Do you fly fish?? I love to fish, but my fly skills are super poor, much to my father's dismay!
Nice photo BTW!!!

Yeah, I got into fly fishing a couple years ago. I enjoy it! I also sport fish for Bass, Pike, Musky, and Pickeral.
So your dad is a fly fisherman huh? Then he would know the wonderful peace and enjoyment of standing in a river in the early morning, just the sound of the water trickling by and the noise of nature, and casting for THE BIG ONE...
