Volcanic-like pressures..
First off, thanks to all the well-wishers over the past week! I greatly appreciate it! Last week was written boards. And uh.. well.. that was ROUGH! Ya pretty much walk out of that 8 hour session feeling you don't have the right to be touching anybody with the questions they ask! Yikes! Today, I have my clinical boards in the afternoon. This is where I actually do a cleaning and a panel of national examiners (who flew in yesterday) will evaluate all that stuff.. And then next Monday is my Jurisprudence exam. And I won't have all the results until May somewhere. Nice huh?? I already don't have any nail biting left to do!
I have my LAST DAY OF SCHOOL on April 12. I am officially done at 1pm after my last final exam. But I'm not really counting!!After boards today, I have a paper to finish, a power point presentation to do, and article reviews to get done by Thursday. No problem! I keep telling myself that anyway!
My father is doing better. Still not sure why the antibiotics aren't totally clearing the mess up or what is causing the irritation. It's a mystery! The doctors/nurses can be a bit frustrating. Obviously, just thankful he's alive and has all his parts etc. He'll go home Wednesday. HUGE THANKS to Teri for being there with him! She'll come home (to MN) for a few days this week. She somehow got our eldest sibling to be with Dad until she can return the following weekend. Wonders never cease. Which is good since getting out of boards this week would have been difficult, though I would have worked around it. Still feel guilty for not being there as is.
Again, my apologies to Jeremy and his family. They, unfortunately, experienced a break in my crater this weekend. Sigh! And of course, to the kids who are having to live with me daily right now! I am in serious need of ME time. It's gotten to the point where, for the first time ever, I'm actually considering sending them to their fathers' houses for extended periods this summer. On top of all the above mentioned, there are other things dancing around on my plate which add to the mess. My life has never seemed as chaotic and messed up as it is right now. And those of you who have known me for any length of time, will know that it's pretty intense right now based on that statement!
The girls have spring break this week! Yippee for them! Due to a ticketing mishap, Michaela was unable to fly to her father's in NC. So I am sure we'll be seeing A LOT of Chan this week! Michaela and Becca are both having sleepovers tonight. Figured they are due some fun after this past month! LOL I don't have school tomorrow, so they can goof around all they want!
Well...I'd better go get showered and get my brain in test mode. Have a good week!
