Green pancakes anyone?
Yeah, that's what we had for breakfast today! Mmmmmmmmmm Mmm! Happy St. Pat's!!
Been busy.. as usual!!
Have all my papers in and my official hygiene license should be here this week! WOOO HOOO!! Redid my resume, but sorta got stuck there as I hate writing cover letters!!
Was suppose to go back to work P/T last week and decided I just couldn't. So I'm officially no longer a "Schwanie". Man, that feels good!!
Last week Rebecca won a poster contest for her room in which she depicted her favorite book "Dancing in Cadillac Light". The contest took place last month for "Love to Read" month.
Alex was nominated for "Kids with Character" at his school for displaying the character word of the week: "initiative". He's a character alright, initiative, I dunno about, but he's got a lot of other ones I could name LOL
Saturday we received news from Tennessee that Doug had been admitted to the hospital having had his second heart attack. They found another blockage below the stent that was put in the right coronary artery 6 years ago. They will then go in again tomorrow, on Tuesday, to clear a blockage in the left coronary artery which is 95% blocked. He is well and we talk to him on the phone and such. He will be released on Wednesday. I am hoping this prompts him to keep up on his medications and once again, stop smoking. I wish he could've seen the kids' faces when I told them, that was rough. The kids have a long weekend coming up due to Easter. Michaela will go to NC and the rest of us will be driving to Tennessee to visit with Doug. We feel the kids, especially Rebecca, need to go visit and be assured that he is doing ok.
Griffin turned 4 yesterday!! We celebrated with some Dog-Zerts. This is a dog-safe frozen confection for dogs made by Schwan's. They loved it and we had a good laugh watching them eat it and having it slide off the plate and get all over their faces.
Hope everyone has a good week!
