Cleansed

Alex was baptized this past Sunday at The Church of Saint John Newmann. It was a good day! Had everyone over for a BBQ afterwards. Was good to see Teri, Joe and the boys! Alex did well only he did 'complain' that the water was too hot during the ceremony!

Thanks to everyone who attended! And especially to Teri and Todd for being the Godparents!

Much to my surprise!

So last night I stopped by my local Caribou Coffee for smoothies for the kids before we hit the pool. And to my surprise I walk in and several of my favorite 'bou crew members are there! Some which have since moved on to other things, some who are regularly there and everyone's all hanging around as Barista John is doing an acoustic guitar set! So the kids an I sat in on a bit of it and it was GREAT!!! I'm truly gonna miss the people who work there as well as hanging out there. I've spent many hours there over the past two years and have gotten to know a lot of them very well!!

Then today I got another surprise when my bud, Lyndsey, texted me to say she is in town for the weekend! She now has a hygiene job in Brookings, SD. Which is just about 90 minutes from Marshall! So I'll get to see her more often! Yippee!! So we're gonna meet up tonight, do some catch up and no doubt throw back a few! I'm so excited to see her!!!!

Cardboard boxes = real-life Tetris!

Somehow I had forgotten how much moving SUCKS. Even though I've done it 16 (SIXTEEN) times before! I just started packing the other day, and it's going quite slow with working 50+ hours a week and all. And truthfully, I'm just plain dumping tons of stuff. Partly because I haven't used it in some time and MOSTLY cuz I'm just flat out trying to minimize this whole process. And so the cardboard fortresses are cropping up all around the house. And I really got stop moving in the heat of summer! My timing is always wrong!

I guess it was good that my dinner plans bagged out on me as usual. And I was smart and declined my other social offers for the evening. My social circle is gonna be greatly missed! I've gotten quite a bit done this evening. Even though right now, it just looks like heaps of shit wherever you look.

I will work through the end of the month and then concentrate on getting this pulled together. Would like to be moved by mid-August and have a couple weeks to settle in in the house before school starts for the kids. I'm gonna miss my job, though intended as temporary, I really started getting into it and my co-workers have been some of the best I've ever had.

Came across a box full of memories while sorting my room. I had forgotten I had kept these things from this special person. I had quite the run of emotions as I went through some of it.. then properly placed it where the past belongs...behind me.

Had some work done on the van today @ Walser Chrysler. Of course...they found a few things wrong that I wasn't expecting. Which as we all know meant more out of pocket than I had wanted; even with employee discounts! I know the mechanic that works on my van so that's handy (and being an employee I got away with sitting in the bay as the van was worked on - tho I am sure some law was broken several times over). Unfortunately, these unexpected things were more important than the A/C that's out, so that will have to wait. Though I'm pretty sure it's near child endangerment having the kids in the van (even with the windows down) in this heat! Hopefully I'll find the $ before I quit at month's end cuz it'll save me about $400!

Ahhhhhhh well....back to the cardboard boxes!

Happy Birthday, Blog!!

It's true...I've been rambling for a whole year now! Been reading over the past year's posts which has been interesting and reflective. Even if nobody reads it, it's been a good journalling process for myself.

July 10th has a strange place in my life... Both bridal showers and at least 2 of my 3 baby showers have been on this date! And now the blog thing too! hmmmmm ??? Just an odd life factoid there..

Indoor S'mores!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh S'mores!!!!!!!!!! Did these inside the other night! Oh they had a pile of fun!

It's been SO HOT here ....today musta been near 100 and humid...ICKY STICKY! Not the best weather for running up and down a car lot! Yeah July in MN! On the upside, I've had a good week! Had a "Hat-trick" on Monday (3 sales in one day!) and nearly did it again today with 2.5 cars.. Not bad!

My friend from school, Ellen, got married today!! Congrats Ellen! Hope she stayed cool!

It's 10pm...it's still quite warm outdoors and the wind that is blowing is that warm not-so-refreshing one..

On the move...

WOW! July Already! I hope everyone enjoyed a FABULOUS 4th!! Todd, the kids and I had a picnic at a park in Lakeville with my pal, Kim. Was nice to laze around after working 9 hours! LOL Yes, we were OPEN! And it was actually pretty busy! Here's a few pics I took of the festivities. Jer - thought you might get a kick out of these.

My ankle has REALLY been killing me this week! Hard to let it heal properly I guess when you're on your feet 9+ hours a day huh?? Been having a great sales week, so that's nice. Hopefully it'll make up for last month!

Boog is in NC for the week. I bet she's having fun! The little kids miss her tho! Doug was here for a couple days and hung out with the kiddies, they really enjoyed that as well.

I guess the BEST news I have this week is that we'll be moving to Marshall next month. Todd and I are tired of commuting and we can better afford to live there for now. He's purchased a LOVELY little house! Here's the website if ya wanna peek:
