The Pig Pen

I'm the last person I thought would ever create a blog. It's my lame attempt to give my family and friends a means of keeping up with my goings on and those of my kids. This way, I can prove I haven't fallen off the earth and that I do think of you all often.. even if I don't show it. Here goes!

Turtles Blue

Last Thursday was quite eventful! First we found this large and injured turtle on our lawn. He'd obviously been hit by a car or lawn mower. :( So we called up animal control and they were taking him to be treated. Still awaiting word on the previously rescued bat!

Then Michaela had her hair done BLUE! Was quite a shock, but now it's grown on me! She got the word today that her braces come off in 3 weeks! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Rebecca's palate spacer was removed today and she'll get a smaller device and a couple upper front braces put on the same day Michaela loses hers!

The kids finish school in a week! WHOA! Where'd the school year go? Alex will attend his Montessori school's summer program. Then it's off to HS, 3rd and Kindergarten with them in the fall! Which I am sure will arrive quicker than I think!

I'm now officially Honda Certified.. yippee!! Actually it's cool, cuz I get extra monetary bumps in my sales monies for being certified. I'm loving it and my co-workers are GREAT too!

The Great Tooth Race

Becca and Alex both have loose teeth!! Tooth #27a for Becca, and #24a for Alex (For my fellow teeth geeks). We're waiting to see who loses first! This will be Alex's first loss! He's VERY excited. Becca also believes that 6a is loose! Which would be good as we optimally need that one out before the maxillary braces get placed in fall. (for those of you who are curious, the 'a' after the tooth number indicates that it is a primary tooth).

The girls go in for ortho appts. next week. Michaela is highly anticipating a removal date for her braces! She's quite excited!

Lazy Day

Griffin pretty much sums up the day in this photo! It was a chilly, overcast day and nobody felt like doing much of anything!

Todd and I had our first meeting with Fr. Sam this weekend. We've asked him to bless our wedding and have begun that process. Figured we should get it started since I have to travel there for our meetings and that may be a bit of a challenge at times with me working Saturdays now. Hopefully over the course of the next year we'll get it all in! Had three babies baptized at our local Parish, St. John Neumann, today. They were SO cute! I have gotten into the comparisons of Masses between Holy Redeemer (in Marshall) and at our church here. I mean in a sense that I am getting the same basic presentation, just in different ways. I find Fr. Charlie (of SJN) not only a great and lively speaker, but well adept at pertaining the day's teachings to current life. Which frankly, is a huge plus in my book. I frequently attend Mass twice a weekend, once with Todd and then on Sunday nights here with the kids. Michaela attended Buddist Temple (the parts she is allowed to since she is not Buddist!) with her friend, Chan, this morning as well.

Finished up training at Walser U on Friday. Will begin product training at my Honda location this week. I have about 36 tests to take to become Honda Certified. Egads! One of these days, I'm gonna be done taking tests!! Maybe I can offer a teeth cleaning with the purchase of a car!!! LOL

Ok...gotta get the kiddies to bed!

Bits and Pieces

Wooooo hoooo! Finally found my camera! Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeez!! Though I don't have a pic to post here!

Still waiting on my National Boards results.. Sheeeeeeeeeeeez.. Who knew it would take more than two months to run a sheet of paper through a scantron machine?! Technology is amazing ...

Have had very unsettled weather the past several days! Lots of stormy stuff! Very cool, some of it, but no twisters, thankfully. Those poor people in Kansas!

Started training at Walser Autogroup today. Amazingly, sitting in a conference room for 7 hours was fun! Met a couple other guys I'll be working with at the Honda dealership; all really nice. The others are all going to the various other Walser sites.

Good news from Kansas:my friend, Lisa, and her husband are FINALLY gonna be parents! Congrats again, Guys! I am so freaking happy for the both of you!!
