The Pig Pen

I'm the last person I thought would ever create a blog. It's my lame attempt to give my family and friends a means of keeping up with my goings on and those of my kids. This way, I can prove I haven't fallen off the earth and that I do think of you all often.. even if I don't show it. Here goes!

Foraging for sugar..

Halloween....again. We just did this it seems like. I love this holiday, except it always seems so freaking cold!!! Yesterday it was 60 degrees, today was NOWHERE near it! That and it seems like such a mad rush of events between now and Christmas and time just flies by.

This year I had a Night Mistress (still unsure of this one), a she-devil and a ninja. I just tried to keep warm. The ghost pin on my hat was about all the festive I could muster.

Michaela did an excellent job on her pumpkin :) The others are quickly decomposing on the porch ...

Like last year, we trekked around Michaela's friend's (Chan) neighborhood. It's close to our place and is a nice friendly street. One house even puts their portable fire pit out for people to warm up by!!

I don't think it could ever get cold enough to stop kids from venturing out into the dark on a quest for treats! LOL Great costumes kids! :-)

as cold as it was I could not get Kate to come in. It was the first time that she really understood what the holiday is all about. Now I just hope she does not want to do this every night after work :)
